Our client, a Holding Company, is looking for a

 

System Technician (M/F)

 

Missions :

  • Install and maintain computer systems and networks aiming for the highest functionality
  • Monitor core IT processes in order to make sure of their proper execution
  • Provide support to users
  • Maintain Unix/Linux operating systems
  • Manage VMWare, Windows server, Active Directory, MS Exchange, Windows 10 workstations
  • Maintenance of VDI images and desktop pools / Troubleshoot and resolve VDI issues
  • Perform daily IT operations/ Perform daily service desk and help desk
  • Perform basic tasks on Oracle DBs
  • Solve basic network issues
  • Troubleshoot and solve hardware, software and connectivity problems, including user access and component configuration
  • Operate and monitor servers and peripheral equipments
  • Monitor console control panel and made procedural or operational corrections as necessary
  • Observe operation of equipment, control panels, error lights, verification printouts, error messages and faulty output
  • Contact the appropriate Staff to solve console control panel errors
  • Research error messages and manipulate console to resequence job steps after job interruption
  • Ensure SOD (Start of Day) and COB (Close of Business) roles
  • Determine sources of computer problems
  • Document computer problems and resolutions
  • Liaise between the Staff Members and IT to solve issues
  • Maintain confidentiality with regard to the processed information, stored or accessed by the network
  • Update the procedures, when needed
  • Provide administrative support and complete all requested control checklists

 

Qualification :

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or equivalent experience
  • Experience of 2 years with Windows Server, VMWare, Active Directory environments
  • Knowledge of computer system backup requirements and procedures
  • Knowledge of computer input and output media
  • Knowledge of computer job control procedures
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Suite
  • Fluent in English & French
